Aye Write! 2010 Fri 5 March - Sat 13 March
The fifth Aye Write! Book Festival returns to The Mitchell Library with a packed programme of great writers and thinkers and some fantastic debates.

This year, to reflect the serious concerns with economics and the environment - and the forthcoming General Election - some longer sessions take place: the future of money, globalisation, Scottish education, Scotland itself and the Left.
Along the way, you’ll encounter, amongst others - Germaine Greer, Tariq Ali, Edwyn Collins, Michael Mansfield QC, Sandi Toksvig, Denise Mina, Susie Orbach, David Dimbleby, Elaine C. Smith, food and cooking and sport.
So if you want fictional and true crime, a great Summer Read programme, the latest debates, cookery, new fiction, philosophy, poetry and history - or just want to soak up the atmosphere in the coffee bar - come along to The Mitchell Library this week!
