A health walk is a FREE, short, gentle and friendly led walk up to two-and-a-half miles long for all ages and abilities. They are a great way to meet new people and take the first steps towards a healthier lifestyle. The walks are all led by trained volunteers.

Why walk?

Walking is one of the easiest ways of getting active:

  • it’s free
  • it's easy
  • it’s fun
  • it’s suitable for all ages and abilities.

Walking regularly:

  • makes you feel good
  • helps you sleep better
  • helps you relax and reduces stress leves
  • helps with weight management
  • reduces the risk of developing heart disease, certain cancers, and type II diabetes by up to 50%.
