Sudirman Cup Comes to Glasgow, 10-17 June 2007

World Badmington 07

When Scotland hosts the World Team Badminton Championships for the Sudirman Cup in June 2007 Glasgow will become only the second city after Copenhagen to have staged the Cup for a second time.

Glasgow last staged this prestigious event in 1997 when China lifted the Cup and, fittingly, the Chinese team also recaptured the trophy last year in Beijing in a glittering finale to a week of fabulous competition.

After the successful Bank of Scotland International Championships last November, badminton fans around the world have only six months to look forward to the delights that await them again in Glasgow.

Glasgow is of course also one of the leading candidates to host the 2014 Commonwealth Games and the Sudirman Cup will provide an excellent showcase for what the city has to offer.

So don’t delay…book your ticket now for a week of fabulous badminton!
