Glasgow Collection
The Glasgow Collection is a rich source of information relating to Glasgow, its history and its development.
The majority of the collection is paper-based and includes:

The Glasgow Collection includes:
- Glasgow newspapers: 1741-present day (lacking only 1775-1777): These are a particular strength of the collection; there are more than 2,000 volumes of local newspapers

- Illustrations: over 5000 illustrations of Glasgow people, places, streets and buildings including material from the collection of photographers, Thomas Annan (1829-1887) and William Graham (1845-1914). The North British Locomotive collection also contains about 9000 glass negatives and 6,500 prints
- Maps: street maps, Ordnance Survey maps, maps since 1858 and thematic maps on various subjects

TheGlasgowStory relates the history of the city of Glasgow in words and pictures. The site is divided into 6 historical periods and then further divided into 'themes' such as Everyday Life and Buildings and Cityscapes. The site also has thousands of searchable images relating to the city's places and people.
The Old Glasgow Club was formed in 1900 and brings together people who are interested in the history of the city and its people.
