For people living in residential and nursing homes in Glasgow who cannot easily visit our libraries we can arrange to bring our library materials to them.  We also deliver to sheltered housing complexes which do not have a community library close by.

We currently deliver material to around 60 homes in Glasgow.  Each home decides in advance what material best reflects their residents' interests and how much they would like in their delivery. We distribute collections to each home from our base in the Mitchell and uplift the previous selection.

Our books are mainly in large print format and people looking for general fiction can choose from a range which includes romance, crime and westerns as well as best-selling authors.  For those who prefer non-fiction our stock includes:

• biography
• true crime
• travel
• reminiscence books
• local history
• war

We also have books on tape, videos and even photographs that can be used for reminiscence work.
