Terms and Conditions for Photographic Orders

 

Copies are supplied on the following conditions to which our customers agree when placing orders.

 

All copies are supplied on the following conditions to which the customer agrees by placing an order:

 

  • The service applies only to copies made from books and other materials in the stock of Libraries, Information and Learning reproduced under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 or from readers' own material.
  • All orders placed in the Mitchell Library will proceed only after pre-payment has been made, and a photocopy order form is completed and signed by the person making the request.  A stamped or typewritten signature of an agent is not acceptable.
  • Invoicing of any order will only be undertaken by prior arrangement with the Photographic Unit.
  • The library wishes to provide a high quality service, but is unable to accept liability for the quality of any reproduction, which is dependant on the condition of the original material being copied.

The Library reserves the right to refuse to copy any material which in our opinion might suffer damage or from which a satisfactory copy cannot be made.

 

All charges are based on the size of the finished reproduction, intermediate sizes are charged at the next higher rate.  All prices inc. VAT (VAT No. GB898 0382 76)

 

The cost of postage and packing is added to all orders sent by post. 

 

Please indicate detailed information on your order form, giving clear and concise instructions where possible, in BLACK INK.

 

 

Reproduction Fees

 

If the copies you purchase are not for your own private research, you may have to declare that you wish to reproduce them (e.g. use them in a publication).  In this case you may be required to pay a reproduction fee, please advise Library staff when placing an order.

 

Details of reproduction fees can be obtained on application.
