Bookstart
Bookstart is built on a simple premise - babies who have an early introduction to books benefit in lots of different ways:
- educationally
- socially
- culturally
- emotionally
|
An early start with books helps to develop the motivation, concentration and attention that are necessary for learning.
Research has shown that children introduced to Bookstart have a head start when beginning school over their peers who haven't been introduced to Bookstart.
You can help give your child a head start in life by making him or her a Bookstart Baby. |

Packs containing lots of useful information on how to enjoy sharing books - including baby books and a nursery rhyme placemat - are available free of charge.
How Do I Get My Free Bookstart Pack?
When you attend your baby's 7-9 month development check, your Health Visitor will provide you with either a pack or a voucher, which can then be redeemed at your local library.
